Environmental specialist Akama is an environmental economist and trade Consultant, specialized in Low-cost, Appropriate Technologies, impact evaluation and a practicing researcher in both qualitative and quantitative. He is currently a PhD candidate [Economics] at the University of Dar es Salaam and a Business Development Manager at CDC Consulting Group Ltd. He is also an associated consultant in matters of designing of durable solutions to IDPs and migration with the Koboch Consultants. He has a research Interests in: Basic Infrastructure, International Trade, Information Economics, Innovations, Environmental Economics, Climate Change, Conflict Resolution and Welfare economics. He has over 10 years of experience as a research consultant and has a keen interest in working among low-income and disadvantaged rural and urban communities in research and impact evaluation in the context of theory of change. He has a broad experience in planning, designing, implementing of basic infrastructure projects, training communities, implementers and policy makers, including monitoring and evaluating the performance of the implementation of projects and programmes.
